Bio

Carlos Leal (he/him/they/them) serve as one of this year's La Raza Cultural Days Co-Coordinators. He is a 4th year HDE & Spanish double major, with a minor in Education. As a queer, Chicanx individual, Carlos explores the intersections of their own identities to inform his involvement and advocacy in a diverse array of spaces. From serving as a Peer Advising Counselor for the Educational Opportunity Program, to his involvement in S.P.E.A.K, the undocumented student and ally support group, as well as a troupe member of Danzantes del Alma, the Baile Folklorico group on-campus. They hope to empower lasting change through community and collaboration, so feel free to reach out to him to connect!
